About Rob

Rob is a passionate ecological garden designer with over 20 years of work experience, now focusing on creating sustainable, biodiverse outdoor spaces. In his youth, Rob was often found in the woods or in the water dunes in Kennemerland, where Rob developed a deep connection with nature at an early age.

Rob specialized in ecological garden design. He took additional courses in permaculture and biodynamic agriculture, which further strengthened his holistic approach to garden design.

Rob's designs are characterized by the harmonious integration of human needs and ecological principles. He is an expert in creating gardens that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also contribute to local ecosystems and biodiversity.

As the founder of Studio Equinox in Amsterdam, Rob is connected to a team of talented designers and gardeners. His projects range from small city gardens to extensive landscape designs for companies and institutions.

Next to his work as an ecological garden designer, Rob works at the WWF, where he connects finance and nature.

In addition to his professional activities, Rob is actively involved in local initiatives for a natural living environment in Amsterdam and is a member of volunteery board position for the Fat Forest Foundation, which is committed to combating deforestation in Indonesia.

In his spare time, he enjoys walking in nature and taking care of his own garden.
